COMPOSTEAM was created to develop innovative technologies linked to the green economy and applied to biomass plants for energy production serving the agro-industry. The project’s technological solutions aim to increase energy efficiency by improving current thermal conversion processes, maximizing recovered heat, reducing consumption, and minimizing environmental impact. Innovation in biomass energy generation plants specifically applies to components, materials, and management systems.
The project is proposed by a Temporary Consortium with ASTER Energetica as the lead, a company founded in 2012 by two mechanical engineers to develop advanced systems producing energy from renewable sources for private and industrial users. The industrial partner is CISIA, a company with over thirty years of experience in developing technical solutions in mechanics, automation, and electrical systems. Research organizations and scientific partners include the Department of Engineering at the University of Roma Tre and the Agricultural Engineering Research Unit of CREA.
