Design of a submarine mock-up
Design of the mock-up of the 1940 submarine Cappellini
The mock-up served as the set for Edoardo De Angelis’ film Il Comandante, featuring Pierfrancesco Favino in the role of Salvatore Todaro, a naval hero who commanded the Cappellini, a unit of the Royal Italian Navy, during World War II.
The submarine is 73 meters long and weighs 70 tons of steel, faithfully recreated based on the original plans from the Historical Office of the Italian Navy.
