Automation of the emergency transfer of hydrofluoric acid on the IDA 10 plant
The emergency transfer management system was implemented using a dedicated SAFETY PLC and local operator panels interfaced to the PLC via a Profibus network.
Connection of the Safety PLC to the existing PLC via Profibus network.
Development of safety logic on the Safety PLC.
Modifications to the existing PLC software to implement interlocks in the event of an HF leak alarm, allowing priority control by the Safety PLC. The outputs for pump control will remain those of the existing PLC.
Addition of 1 alarm in the alarm logging of the existing supervisor in the IDA10 control room.
The alarm signals (digital input) from the leak detection sensors will be connected to the Safety PLC.
